    As a virtual assistant working with non-native English clients, it never ceases to amaze me how much Google-translate I see on blog posts, web copy and email campaigns.
    As your quote says – “All meanings, we know, depend on the key of interpretation” With the WWW accessible to most, an amateur attempt at translation isn’t sufficient.

      Thanks Elaine, it’s interesting to know that you come across that in your line of work too. Part of the problem is that it’s hard for non-native speakers to judge the quality of automatic translations, which is why I think it’s valuable to point it out!
